Role Details

✓Safely operate a Category C+E (Class 1) HGV vehicle, adhering to all UK Highway Code and Drivers' Hours (WTD) regulations for every journey, whether local or long-distance.

✓Conduct thorough pre-use and post-use vehicle checks, reporting any defects immediately and maintaining accurate defect reports as per company and DVSA standards.

✓Efficiently and securely load and unload goods, which may involve working with Warehouse Operative teams, using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment like tail lifts and curtain sides.

✓Plan delivery routes effectively, using approved satellite navigation systems, and maintain clear, professional communication with transport offices and customers via phone or digital systems.

✓Ensure all necessary paperwork, including Digital Tachograph cards, delivery notes, and CMR consignment notes (for international work), is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

✓Represent both the client and Phone Direct professionally at all times, providing excellent customer service during collections and deliveries.

•Valid UK Cat C+E (HGV Class 1) Licence: With no more than 6 penalty points (certain endorsements may be restrictive; please disclose).
