Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Safely operate articulated vehicles (Category C+E) in compliance with all UK Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations, ensuring full DVSA compliance at all times.
• Complete pre-start vehicle checks (walk-around checks) and accurately report any defects or maintenance issues using the company's digital or paper-based systems.
• Plan efficient routes, manage delivery schedules, and liaise with transport offices and customer sites to ensure on-time deliveries and collections, often dealing with tight time windows.
• Secure all loads appropriately using straps, curtains, and other equipment, and complete all necessary paperwork including CMR notes, delivery sheets, and digital POD (Proof of Delivery) signatures.

What We're Looking For: Essential & Desirable Criteria

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points (IN/DD/DR endorsements will be assessed on a case-by-case basis).
• A valid, in-date Driver CPC Card and a Digital Tachograph Card. Proven, recent experience driving articulated vehicles is essential.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road networks, a strong safety record, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour. Experience with multidrop deliveries, tail-lift operations, or curtain-sided vehicles is highly advantageous.
